I have a customer that has a 403 in their main site and 10 to 12 IP hard phones at each remote site. The sites are connected via F/R (768CIR). Each site has a Cajun 333T switch and a Cisco 2620 router. I could use some help setting up traffic shaping and QoS on the routers and switches.

Thanks

There are 2 main issues

L2 TOS, eg Ethernet Pirority accross the P333T, Avaya have a very good Definity technical tip that explanes in detail how to configuree 802.1p/q on this switch. I have configured many times it is quite stright forward once you get your mind around the OP system compaired to the Cisico IOS. You basically want to segment the L2 network into 2 Vlans one for voice and one for data, you then create a trunk port that connects both vlans to the router. The L2 settings are configurable on the 46XX as part of the final QOS settings. Within the VLAN ID and Pirorty Bit are the L2 values the rest are Diffserv values @ L3

When dealing with VoIP Over Frame Relay you really need to configure CBWFQ, LLQ, interleave and fragmantation on the routers. This is all based on what Codec you are running, and sampling rates, as well as diffserv vaulue configured on the 46XX's. I would suggest you use the standard G.729a @ 20 MS which will comsume Approx 28Kbps accross a standrad Frame tail with no CRTP, or Header Commpression.

I can give you some pointers if you let me know more about the frame tail specs, router IOS version, What 46XX phones.

Hope this helps

Thank for your assistance..

The routers are running 12.2.7r. The IP hard phones are 4612 and 4624's. What other info do you need on the FR circuit?

Do you have a link to the Avaya Doc on setting up the Cajuns?

Thanks again
