Good Morning eveyone, I just got this error, can anyone give some idea's what I should be checking!!

Thanks in advance

QOS019 QoS unacceptable packet loss: [3.9] % in zone [2]

TIM000 08:00 28/4/2008 CPU 1

QOS019 QoS unacceptable packet loss: [12.6] % in zone [2]

QOS019 QoS unacceptable packet loss: [3.5] % in zone [2]

Your configured QoS thresholds were exceed and the switch was just letting you know that you lost a few packets. If this is a constant problem, have your IT guys do a network traffic report to make sure there is enough bandwidth available.

Also make sure QOS is set up on all parts of your network, local, remote and whatever connects the two.

I will have IT check it out, we do have a remote edge switch that is down so this may be the problem.

Thanks again.

Update, someone had caused a loop back on an edgde switch, pretty much crashed the entire phone system, doesn't seem right that one edge switch could effect an entire network.

Thanks again.

It didn't crahe the Phone System, it was the Data system.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
