Okay, I'm not too sharp. I can't get qmail up and running. I bought the only book I could find that looks decent, "Running Qmail", published by SAMS, written by Richard Blum. Good book, but too much pointed at Fbsd

I get qmail to install, no big deal. But how do I get qmail to run. ps aux no qmail services. I won't be getting email at the linux boxes, I will do that through pop3 connection at other nt workstations through outlook.

My email server is behind a firewall, on private IP space. Now with my httpd services I have them portfw to the correct box in private add space. Can I do that with the smtp and pop services on the email box.

Ok this is the best place to get up and running fast for Qmail ignore the DO NOT USE THIS errata he only says that for the fact that it is a work in progress but beleive me I have used it many many times with effective results. and you can get on Dalnet and /join #linuxpeople and look for LinuXninja he is Dman for helping get Qmail up and running he is a strong advocate for Qmail as well.
