Qbasic Date$..need to add 1 week to the date from computer

hi i am currently working on a project for my own busines..i have some idea of programming using qbasic...i was wandering if there was some sort of program that takes the date from the computer system (Date$) and adds a week to that date taking note of leap years and the different number of days in each month??..

anyone willing to help? thanx

Perhaps converting to Julian day, adding 7, then back to Gregorian would be helpful?
