I am having a problem with one of the programs that I wrote. Whenever I run it under Qbasic 1.1 it works perfectly, but under Qbasic 4.5 it starts to do weird things.

The screen gets all gritty (there are black marks all over it) and some parts of the code don't act the way they should.

It only works under 3.11, I also have 4.5 on my Windows XP machine and the code works great there. Qbasic 4.5 couldn't be corrupt, I copied it directly from my XP machine to my 3.11 machine, and it did work for while on it.

Does anybody have any ideas?

I would try scandisk to see if you have any bad sectors on your drive. David Paulson

well, would you say something more about program?
(like if it uses POKE's & OUT's or not)
For now - it seems that this could be memory problem (not enough DOS memory)

I am using virtual memory for large arrays. It seems to happen when I BSAVE an image that I got using GET.
I use OUT, but only to set upt he palettes the way I want, and that part always runs perfectly.
