Hi Guys/Gals,
Has anyone networked a NEC IPS to an Option 61?
Did you use PRI cards or H323?
Are you using Centralized Voicemail?
I want to use the IPS as an IP Gateway to support IP extensions. I have looked at the NEC Q-sig manual, just wanted some feedback.

Thanks,
Chris

You can use a 24DTA (T1) card plus the SC01 controller card to provide QSIG. There is also a combo 24PRTA card for doing QSIG on the IPS. VM integration is not supported over QSIG with the 2000.

Hi Pave35,
I have looked at the supported features, they seem to be very limited (I guess I should expect that). Speciffically do you know if the following features are supported?
1) Station to Station calling Info. (Option 61 to 2000 / vice versa / Caller name and ext. number)
2) Link reconnect
3) PRI on the Option 61 shows name and number caller ID, can I get this out to the 2000 when a call is transfered?

Thanks,
Chris

You will get caller number but not name.
Link reconnect is not available
And caller ID is not transferred over the QSIG.
I do believe these features are available on the IPS in Europe but that firmware is unfortuneatley not available here in the US. I would check with an NEC Sales Rep to confirm.
