PVM Troubles with R7 509

Has anyone ran into this problem? By default the R3 small PVM card has extensions 10, 11, 12, 13 assigned for mailboxes. We have set up 10, 12, 14, 15 for mailboxes. Twice though the PVM has defaulted - reverting back to 10, 11, 12, 13....Faulty PVM? There is a UPS on the system so I don't believe it is a power related thing. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Did you default the mail to factory specs upon installing it?

I'm not sure what you mean... We default all ACS processors when we first power them up - but I wasn't aware of defaulting the PVM PCMCIA card?

I'm not aware of defaulting the PVM's. I have come across issues with the same set up as you have. PVM didn't revert back but would not complete the transfer from AA to the extensions. Replaced the PVM and the same thing happened. Replaced the processor and all is well. This probably wont help you, but at least you know others have had issues. I would try a new PVM and see, but be prepaired to replace the processor.

There is a known issue on PVM cards reverting to default mailbox assignments, selector codes, and passwords after a power failure.

The fix is to default the PVM and then reprogram it.

Check with your Business Partner or Avaya distributor for the code to default it.

Don't run out and get another PVM, default and rebuild it and I'm sure your problems will go away.
