I have to send 18 Dn's from a Nortel 61C across a tie line to an 11C. I have attempted this in Load 87 but have not had any luck. I have made a test phone on the 61C to see if it would Transfer to the 11C via the tie line. It did not work. I also outed the test phone on the 61C thinking maybe it was not suppose to be assigned in the 61c (LUDN).I then checked LD 20 LUDN and the number is showing not used on the 61C.
I once again attempted to push the number over to the 11C via the tie line and it did not work.
Here is what I get.
Ld 87
req chg
cust 0
feat cdp
type dsc
dsc number you wish to send to other switch
esn125

Any input to this would be appeciated.

Thanks,

FIzer

You also need to create a Route List Block in LD 86, so point your DSC at your RLB of your TIE trunks. Stat the channels of your TIE trunks to see if they are up? You need the extension no to be coflicting with what you have setup already or you might need to use HLOC's then

do you have a rlb pointed to the tie route? the number does have to be vacant in the sending switch.

I get this:
Ld 87
req chg
cust 0
feat cdp
type dsc
dsc number you wish to send to other switch
esn125
ESN125 after I have tried to push the number to the other switch. I will try building another route on the tie line then give it another try.

Thanks for you guys input.

No distance steering codes.

ESN 125 means "Undefined CDP type (LSC, DSC, TSC, ALL)."

Goto LD 86 print and change the prompt:

CDP (YES) NO Coordinated Dialing Plan feature for this customer
- MXSC 0-5000 Maximum number of Steering Codes
- NCDP 3-7 Number of digits in CDP DN (DSC + DN or LSC + DN)

Regards,

Ronald

It would help if you posted the actual output from the terminal.
The ESN125 message would more likely be output after an incorrect response to the TYPE prompt.

The "I get this:" stuff is not switch output and doesn't make sense.

You should have something like this:
REQ new
CUST 0
FEAT cdp
TYPE dsc
DSC 4444 (if 4444 is the DN on the Op11)
RLI xx (xx = the RLB that goes to tie lines)

It worked after I went and did as RS528 said.
ESN 125 means "Undefined CDP type (LSC, DSC, TSC, ALL)."

CDP (YES) NO Coordinated Dialing Plan feature for this customer
- MXSC 0-5000 Maximum number of Steering Codes
- NCDP 3-7 Number of digits in CDP DN (DSC + DN or LSC + DN)
You were also right John poole in asking me about the steering codes.

Thanks to all of the people who responded.
Thanks,
Fizer
