Hi all,

Can I use push2phone system (Ciscoipphoneexecute command) to make an IPPhone ring ?
And make it stop ringing...

thanks.

Nobody can help me out here !!!

thanks again...

What are you trying to accomplish with the phone ringing?

Ok I explain the flow:

- Call arrives on a phone that has a line configured as "No Ringing" or "Flash Only".
Therefore, the phone show that a call arrives but does not ring.

- I want, during this time the call is shown on the phone, force the phone to RING immediatly.

So I want to send a command to the phone to ask him : RING !!!

thanks

How is the phone supposed to know what time to "ring" or "not-ring" the phone. Either it's on or off.

Extension mobility can be used to assign a "ringing" DN after a user has authinicated user/pass with the phone.

Push2phone is only going to make the phone tone out with a selected .raw ringer file when a text message is sent. I'm not sure if it works when the phone is set to flash...

A final option might be to configure a second line that is close to main number dialing plan. Set it for auto answer/ring/etc. That way ex.10001 / line 1 is quiet, but
ex.20001 / line 2 is set to ring or autoanswer... Intercom style. If the 20001 extension is not known, the phone will not "ring" very often.

Well, yes I thought about a second number but that would have an impact on customer dialing plan and I do not want that.

However, why can't we imagine to ask the CCM (using JTAPI) to stop or start the ring as we want..???

The skinny messages are pretty simple and we should be able to make the CCM send a "SetRingerMessage" with either RingOff or InsideRing!!

what do yous think?

thanks
