Howdy,

I am thinking about buying a used CPU as I already have the chassis, a VoIP daughter board card, and phones. I read somewhere that licenses are not transferable, so I wanted to confirm this and also am looking for other things I need to consider. I just need licenses to support IP phones, and a few voicemail boxes. It's a simple build, and I'd like to avoid the cost a new CPU as I'm sure the dealer will try to bundle in phones.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Before purchasing, find out what licenses are loaded. To purchase more you need to sign up with a dealer. There is paperwork for that. Most times NEC will contact the owner on record to see if they want to change dealers. A used CPU may present an issue with that.
