[jester]I'm not in the know of any good nose puns and found myself sniffing a bit south.

Seriously, this whole Forum has a great sense of humor. That's just of of the many reasons I keep coming back.

[thumbsup2] Wow, I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time.
I think I've forgotten this before.

Cresby, Welcome...I see that you just joined Tek-Tips today and have already found "Making an Impression". Good on ya'!

I infer from your post that you are considering pundits and punsters as synonymous. Although it is very reasonable that pundits can also be punsters, they are two very different breeds:

Punster: one who is given to citing a usually humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest two or more of its meanings or the meaning of another word similar in sound. (from Italian puntiglio: fine point).

Pundit: a learned person : TEACHER; one who gives opinions in an authoritative manner : CRITIC. (from Sanskrit pandita: learned).

[cheers]

how about one who needs a feed line - is he a depundant?

Actually one of my friends came up with the adjective for my jokes - agregious - he was somewhat deflated when I thanked him profusely.

Sorry, Cresby...That's one of the gigantic problems with text-based fora -- we can't tell when another's tongue is planted firmly in her/his cheek, you "cheeky" devil, you!
