Hey i need some help on how to punch a 25 pair to 66 and how it works on mitel small motel doing a
diy?

Thanks

Sorry i meant how to put the rooms on punchdown the rooms

Ok if you have the "bays" all punched down and the bix block mounted on the wall then you can think of it like this.

BAY SLOT CIRCUIT

These 3 factors determine the "PLID" (Pysical Location Identification).

The "bay" is the cabinet where the amphenol connector comes from.
The "Slot" is where the card (12 port DNIC or ONS) is inserted into on the "bay".
The "Circuit" is what "port" the on the card is.

So if you have say 1 amphenol connector coming off the cabinet that cable has a 25 pair, but you'll note that the cards only have 12 ports per card so 1 pair is not used. From what i've seen the 13th spot on the bix block is usually not connect or ignored.

So lets say you want to wire up suit 103 to Bay 1, Slot 1, Circuit 3, you would go to your "first" bix block and count 3 over from left to right.

Google yourself a wiring diagram for the punch down color codes to make sure that you've got it right.

DOH! sorry, thought you meant a 110 block, check out wiki for the 66 block layout, the principles of wiring are still the same.

I still didnt get it so I am using a 25 pair amp to a premade 66 block with amp connector so i just go down till i hit the 12th pair and match what bay and slot and what circuit the ext is plugged on.

well basically start from top to bottom till i hit the 13th one
