Puma Intellisync Error: "Insufficient memory to proceed"

I have a client who we upgraded from win98 to 2k. Using Intellisync 4.00, he used to sync notes R5 address and calender. Now, upon attemptin to sync we get the follwoing error: "Insufficient memory to proceed"
Anyone seen this before? I have done all kinds of testing and the handheld itself seems to be fine.... the connection is ok since we can sync with palm desktop...
I have checked the options:
the notes password is correct
the location of the notes.ini, names.nsf, and journal.nsf are all correct.

We have uninstalled, cleaned the reg manually and gotten rid of everything and then reinstalled again. The problem remaines. I have also done a hard reset on the palm vx.

Any ideas?

Not much help but I'm having the same problems. Sync was working OK - then nothing.

Done hard reset, re-install, checked password / locations / etc and all OK.

Annoying.
