There's a way to take an MSC Card and put it in a machine with simiiar software so that it'll come up with it's keycodes intact, but with no description of what the keycodes mean. I have a bad hard drive in a machine I recently received, but I know keycodes are likely still on the card. Has anyone done this?

Why not just retrieve the keycodes from Nortel? All you need is the MSC ID number on back of the card, or you can find it via feature **sysid or using Unified Manager.

Remember, the keycodes are not stored on the MSC Card, only the MSC ID. The keycodes only unlock software on the hard drive and how it works with Embedded NT (pre 4.0) or Linux (4.0 and higher).

The Sys ID is: DC44E8070000. I don't have access to the KRS.

You only have one legit keycode generated:

Hope by doing this it isn't against this sites rules..
