Hi,

I am looking at a way to pull data from an email into an Access Memo Field, as some of the emails can have attachments, I will need to be able to store these as well, what I am thinking is extracting the attachments to a directory and storing the path/filename of the attachment in my SQL Server Database.

Does anyone know an easy way of finding the currently selected file in your outlook session (connected to exchange) and then pulling the data from the file.

Thanks,

Gavin,

In the Outlook VBA help have a look at the Application.ActiveInspector method, the Inspector.CurrentItem property, the MailItem.Attachments collection and the Attachment.SaveAsFile method.

Hope This Helps, PH.

I would imagine that would depend on if you can reference Lotus Notes Library and automate it, have a look under references in VBA and see if it is available, if it is you will need to look at what properties and methods are available for Notes (Object Browser), they will most certainly be different from the ones for Outlook.
