I have two crystal reports that run off of a SQL database. I need a total from one report to be displayed on another report....How can I do that?

Include the report from where you need the information as subreport for main report, and use shared variables.

And then suppress the subreport if you don't want to see it.

Well, to tweak that last comment a little, you can't suppress the subreport if you are sharing variables from it, but you can suppress all sections within the subreport, and format the sub to "suppress blank subreport", and then suppress the section it is in to "suppress blank section"--which will give the appearance of having suppressed the subreport object without actually doing it.

Yes, the sub-report option is an idea and I think you for that suggestion. However is there any way i can write a SQL side to save the varible on that side?

Don't know what you mean. You would have to provide much more in the way of specifics.
