Publishing User Name query

Hi

Anyone know how I can set the default for the name FP asks you for when publishing your web? Is there a registry setting?

In FP 2000 and newer, when you enter your login information there is an option box you can check to remember the login. Is that not working for you?

The only options I get in the dialog box (File, Publish Web) are Publish all pages; publish changed pages; Include Subwebs; SSL.

Are you sure this was available from 2000 onwards?

If you are publishing to a hosting server on the internet somewhere via ftp, the host server will typically request a userid/password to login. If you are publishing to your own local server, then chances are you will not be prompted for signon.

At least that would be my initial guess. It's been a while since I've looked at that.
