Hello All,

I have the reports and when I click on Save As option and click on my enterprise server and then open one of the folder where I want the report to be saved, then I save the report.

After I login to the Enterprise Management Console and see the folder where I saved my report, the report is not there. Can anyone tell is there any default path set where it save sthe reports. Other reports which are already there on enterprise server on different folders saved by somebody else, I see the file name from EMC are like frs://Input/a_093/048/000/12381/~crt5trtryt56dbae4a.rpt

Can anyone tell which is the best way to publish the reports on enterprise Manager so that users can access then from web.

Any ideas would be really helpful,

Thanks,

-V

I use CR XI Report Server.

I log into CMC and insert the object (.rpt), schedule it, run it and place the output instance or exported report (.pdf, .txt, etc) in any of the enterprise folders.

Hi, By far the best way is to use the Publishing Wizard...

Otherwise, using the method you tried, be sure you are logging into the CMC with the same user account you used to save the report..Any errors when saving?

To add an object directly, open the CMC, go to the desired folder, click on New Object, browse your PC's files to find the one you ant to add and select it..

After doing that, check the database information ( you will need to verify the user and password if needed, and uncheck the 'prompt user..' check box).

Do not be misled by the FRS: filespecs..you will not want to use those directly..they are where Crystal will get the report shell, but should not be accessed by anyone directly..Just through the CMC...

Thanks kskid and Turkbear for the suggestions. Let me try the one which says publish using CMC since I don't have publishing wizard installed on my PC.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Turkbear,

Unfortunately, I don't have the Publishing Wizard either. It's in the User Manual but I just can't find it. I can't use Start->Programs because the CR Server is on a network drive.

Maybe I'll get it with BO XI Enterprise.

Hi,
The Publishing Wizard is a client-side tool not server-side..If you have your CR Server CD, run a custom install and see if it is one of the choices..If not, see if there is a Tools or a Utilities subd on the CD ( I am not certain it comes with CR Server, it is in XI Ent )

Got it!

For CR Server XI, I had to do a Client Installation.

Sure will make my job easier. Another Star and thanks again.

Hi,
Glad to help...
