Sorry if this is a real newbie question...

Is it possible to create a report as an administrator with prompts, put it on the network where users can access it, but the users don't have Impromptu? Or is it a requirement that any user who needs to view an Impromptu report have it installed locally on their machine?

Thanks in advance...

Jeff Meyer

Impromptu comes with a whole lot of 'Save As' options including Excel, csv and unusually pdf. So any user can see these reports. What they cannot do is control what come out on the report - you as the Impromptu user do that.

Thanks. What I'm trying to do is to create a "front end" with Impromptu over my database so that they can run prebuilt queries that have power prompts in them. Saving a report as a .csv, etc. would still mean that I have to run their reports and I'm trying to give them the power to run their own reports.

We can only afford the ordinary Impromptu client, not the web version! If you have the latter I believe that it will do as you want (but I can't tell you how), if the former - you can't do it!
