I would like to publish MS Publisher 2003 to 10 users, I tried to create the policy on the OU I can not find a way to publish this application to one or two users on this OU. Plus it for these users to install this application I have to give them local admin rights on their computer.
1. Is there a way to publish this application to one or two users on this OU?
2. Is there a way to allow these users to install this program without giving them admin right locally on there computer?

Thanks, Scruby1

You will need to have an MSI file to do the push. Within the GPO you need to look under the Group Policy section. there is a setting to Always Install With Elevated Priviledges. This will allow the software to install without giving the user admin rights.

To restrict who gets it, you need to create a seperate policy for your distribution. Then from the list of GPOs, highlight your GPO and click the Properties tab. Now click the Security Tab. The bottom setting is to Apply or Deny apllication of the GPO. Assign the Apply right to your users to get the software and remove the Apply from the default Authenticated Users.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Mark
