Can i publish the current state of my flash into a picture file thru the use of action script? thanks.

You can capture the Stage with BitmapData.draw().

To output the data into an image file you need a wrapper app if it's a projector, and a server-side script if it's a web app.

im a beginner in actionscript. what is a wrapper app?

Flash is designed for web delivery only and has no capability of local machine interaction; e.g. Flash cannot save a file to a local drive. Wrapper adds this missing feature to a Flash movie. Perhaps the most popular one is Zinc, however my favourite is mProjector. There are many others: SWF Studio, Screenweaver, etc. Oh, and Director.

could you show me a simple script wherein i can save the the flash program state into a picture file using your wrapper app? thanks.

i have done this and it worked, but the problem is it only shows my layer 1 picture, it does not show the layer 2 nodes which at first are invisible then visible with certain event, i put the the script mdm.Image.ScreenCapture right after the event when it will make the picuture visible, but it does not show in the created picture. what do you think is the problem. thanks.
