Publisher 2002 file problems

I installed several weeks ago Publisher 2002 replacing my 2000 version. Now we have trouble opening the files created in Publisher 2002. The program opens, but when you try to open a file it will hang up mid-way and give an error message saying it will now close and report to Microsoft. We have tried everything including adding more RAM to no avail. Could it be a problem with Windows 98? I can't find anything in the help boards at microsoft. Thanks. -Rockey

I use Publisher 2002 all day every day with no problem and upgraded in the same environment as you have. If you did not remove Pub 2000 before re-installing 2002, try that. BUT not until you clean and defrag your drive.
