I am trying to publish an Attachmate Extra! for SNA server session. I keep getting an error when I try to access it that "the server is unable to process your request to start this published application. Please try again."

If I publish extra.exe, it works fine however I can't give the clients the ability to choose a session.

I have seen this work on other systems but just can't seem to figure it out.

Much thanks to anyone who can assist.

How have u published the Extra.
while publishing the extra publish extra.exe as well as
one of the default sessions.
give the folders in which extra is loaded the respective users read access so that they can see the sessions folders.

for ex
"R:\Programs\E!PC\EXTRA.exe" R:programs\E!PC\Sessions\sessiona.edp
the above commadn line i have used for publsihing extra and the users can also selct the differnt seeeions

just try it and let me know

hi,
i never had such sort of error while installing Extra.
But looking at the error it seems its is somewehre realted to system files. why dont u try to uninstall extra , remove all the registry entries and do a fresh install.
hopefully that should work

pls let me know if u had any soltions other than this for the prob

Actually, I have narrowed the problem to be with the SNA server client. It works fine from the server, however whenever a remote user tries to hit it the session tanks. I can't even run a straight 3270 pop from the client software. I ran the compatability script and it still won't work.

I am using the NT client. The Win95 client will let it run, but it pops an icon in the tray which requires the user to manually close it before the app will terminate. Kind of a pain while running it embedded through NFUSE.
Simple is better.

Thanks again.
