'Publish - currently running update' STUCK on Cognos IWR 7.0 2

I just attempted to republish a reportset to an existing report set - I have done this hundreds of times to a number of different reportsets. This time it failed to complete, the reports have not been deposited in the Newsbox and the publish status is 'Publish - currently running update'. No other activity on the server, Source files all regular names, no duplicates, no odd characters in report names etc.

Does anyone know if there is a command line reset that I can apply to 'unstick' the situation.

We ran into this situation a while ago. The only solution we found was to manually delete all references to the reportset. Then republish it.

I am what I am based on the decisions I have made.

We ran into this as well. This is the fix from Cognos that finally worked.

1) Delete the "old reportset" directory including all *.gz files
2) Run 'iwrconfig -cmd resetReportSet "old reportset"'
3) Delete the Report Set from IWR Administrator
4) Republish the reportset & reports. (you will have to re-set up all the reports)

It wasn't particularly fun, but it did resolve the issue.
