Hello All!

I have a programming change I need assistance with in Avaya CM.

Currently experiencing problem making changes to public-unknown-numbering section of Avaya Communication Manager. Need to make changes to existing numbers in this application, but get error message that number already exists in system. Need to change display of DID number on phone from 706-4999 to 866-633-XXX.

I tried again but this time left out the trunk group number, it took of course but when I went back in to include the trunk group number I got the same response that it already exists.

when I list public-unknown-numbering 7 you get two listings for 706-4999. We need to be able to change any entries that have already been set up in public-unknown-numbering and also to remove them if necessary and we cannot do either.

Can anyone assist or direct me on these changes???

Thanks

What is the command that you are using?
What is the digit length of the extension?

For a 4-digit extension (4999), use the command
[tt]change public-unknown-numbering 4 ext-digits 4999[/tt].

For a 7-digit extension (7064999), use the command
[tt]change public-unknown-numbering 7 ext-digits 7064999[/tt].

You can have it all. You just can't have it all at once.

change public-unknown-numbering 7 ext-digits 7064999

When I attempt to change her outgoing display to the MTP toll free number 877-633-8747 the system says it already exists and will not allow the change.

Any ideas??

tnx

I would delete both of these listings, save trans, and then put in a new listing.
