I am working with Avaya's Comm. Manager Version 5.2 I'm having an issue with public-unknown numbering. Here's the issue.

Someone has his extension (2234) blocked and now wants to unblock it. if I list the public-unknown numbering his number is on the second page.
When I say his number is blocked, I am just pointing it to a different CPN, a 10-digit number.
when I type "change public unknown numbering", then when I click on the second page, it shows a blank page without any entries. All I want to do is remove
this ext. from the public-unknown numbering feature.

Note: The command line says: Enter extension length 0-13 [['ext-digits' x] so I enter several scenarios i.e.,
change public unknown-numbering 4 or
change public unknown-numbering 04 or
change public unknown-numbering 4 [2234]
Nothing is working. HELP!!!

list public, or "change pub 4 ext 22".
Some tables in CM are finnicky like that - you'll only be able to bring up a single page's worth of modifiable data and as such, need to structure your command such that the result will bring up the data you want to modify in that single page.

Do your "list pub" and see what entries are there for the 2200s. Perhaps there's an entry for "223" of length 4 digits and thereby applying to 223X, but it isn't explicitly stated as "2234" as you tried in your command above.

Kyle555. Thank you.
Here's the entire command. Change public unknown-numbering 4 ext-digits 2234. Phew!
