I am replacing an exchange server with an identical server .
Win2000 and exchange 2000. The client does not want to upgrade at this point to avoid questions. I have followed all the steps in atrticle 307917 on how to remove the first exchange server from a site. My question is this. There is still a number of Public Folders on my old server like schema-root. Do I have to rehome all the folders I see on my old server.

Any Input would be appreciated

All the relevant System Folders are automatically generated on each server.

If you have followed 307917 to the letter you do not need to worry.

Mike

Thank You for the reply Mike.
I have not performed the "uninstall" on the old server yet.
I hestitaed as I can not see the system folders on the "new" server. Are they transferred or created when I uninstall from the original server?
