Does "PSTN Access Via DPNSS" under route type in the routes form do anything like "Emergency" does?

PSTN access via DPNSS is mostly used on trunking gateways to allow pass thru or breakout there is some extra signalling which it sends out to the PSTN in the call setup

I know what DPNSS does but when I set up the trunking for SIP trunks the directions say to set this in the route type. I have tried it both ways and it doesn't seem to change anything. So is it just a label in this case or does it make changes to the call?

The SIP interop docs are very concise as the aim is to ensure compatability with other vendors.
Personally if the instructions are telling to you to set options then I would to avoid any problems later.
You might not ave tested your system with all the possible scenarios the interop testers would have checked.
