Hello...microsoft recommends that .pst files not be used as a lon term way of storing data across a network. Has anyone experienced problems related to this?
Yes, as users who are aware of this extra storage space tend to abuse it. We implement a mailbox size restriction on the exchange server, and anyone who wants to use a pst file are also restricted by using disk quota's.
.pst files are really designed for remote offline mail storage.
