Was anyone of you able to install and run personal edition of Oracle on the Windows 2000 Professional?

yes . it is working but u need the personal oracle 8i for windows nt/2000 version. it is must..

Although Oracle's download site says that Personal Oracle 8.1.6 release 2 is the only version intended for installation on Windows 2000, I am running Personal 8.1.5 on my Win2000 Professional laptop without a problem.

I've installed Oracle 8.1.5, 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 on Windows 2K Professional without problems (even if i had to work on 64 RAM). Right now i'm using 8.1.6 on Win 2K.
