Pshop prints browns as browny greens

As my illustrator simply doesn't want to print my illustrations, I'm having to import them into photoshop.

One problem; whenever I try to print anything with brown in it, it comes out as a completely different colour- more of a greeny brown. This is the only colour that seems to print any different.

I've even tried altering the gamma but that doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be apprecaited cos I'm fuming at the moment!

Are you using CMYK? RGB? What?

What type of printer?
