If the primary scratch disk is full is there a way to clear this out or does one just assign more space via assigning secondary disk. I am currently running secondary disk via an external hard drive but it hangs when asked to crop an image & would prefer to clear out primary disk if possible.
Am running pscs2 on
XP home,
Total Physical Memory 1,024.00 MB
Available Physical Memory 236.60 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.95 GB
AMD Dual core
C:Drive 20GB
D:Drive 200 GB

check your hardrive see if there is actually space available for scratching. if not delete ur porn, etc..

If there is then.

Go manually delete the file ps made for previously. It sometimes doesnt get erased. The file your looking for is usually on the C:/ not in any folder. If you dont see it make it visible by going to folder options/ View tab/ click on show hidden files and folders. You will now see it. and go delete it.

A trick to use when running out of scratch space is to go in ps: edit/purge/ all. this will however get rid of history and undos.

I just have a 3 gig partition I only use for adobe products.

Hi, it's always a good idea to clean your system as said before. Pay also attention to clean your <temp> directory. As I can see your system, you should set your D drive as the primary scratch disk (and the only one) - one tab of the preferences options.
On another way, as Adobe says, it's better to have a second hard drive for your scratch disk, not just another partition, but this one must be a fast disk directly attached to the IDE or SATA bus, not a USB device.
