We have a PS4 environment with (2) W2K3 servers running PS4 and (1) W2K3 server running WI. users connect to our network through VPN and then launch Citrix web page. users have just started accessing the WI environment and we're getting our first few troubleshooting issues. today problem:
users launches application (vendor-specific healthcare ap). they receive a popup that says:
Error in ICA File:
The line '<!--" was encountered before a section was found
Please contact your MF admin
they click OK then receive:
The address of an application server must be specified
they click OK and then briefly see a Citrix MetaFrame splash screen with the text "Connection Error" at the bottom. it goes away on it's own.
this is new to the user as they have been using their app successfully for almost 2 months. the only fix we were able to find, was have the user go into the Settings section of WI, under Performance, change the Connection Speed to something specific instead of the No Preference option that has been there all this time. we have not done any additional work on the server since we've released it to users, so there are no changes that we know of. i've seen a few posting about checking port 443 on our firewall and have a call into those guys as well. anything else we can check from the Citrix side of things? the server seems to be fine (not dropping off the network or anything) and i don't see anything in the event logs. appreciate any help!
