HI
first post so hope it goes well

I have bought an external USB 250GB hard drive from LaCie.

In the manual on the cd, it mentions that it is possible to draw power for the hard drive via a PS2 cable linking the hard drive from the mouse or keyboard socket.

Since my Compaq EvoN620c laptop has 2 of these I am wondering if this is true?
and if so where I can buy one of these cables.

LaCie are absolutely useless, they haven't returned any emails i filled out on their website, don't have a contact tel. and the dealer i bought off doesn't know.

Any help please

Cheers
Stuart

I forgot, heres the web page, with a bunch of other numbers as well.

Can i suggest that you contact sales dept. I often do that, pretend to be dumb, then often they transfer you to support.
Sometimes it doesnt work for obvious reasons, often it does!

But should have pointed out I am in the UK

over here we are ever so polite, too busy drinking tea and discussing the weather and the queen.

thus they only give you one tel number and an annoying contact form

but i will keep trying

oops and that number was a bloody fax number...

looks like they aren't as bothered about the uk as the usa

But on that page i see a link to sales, try that, they are ever so quick if they think you are buying a new unit!!
