I need to import a PS text into Illustrator and
save it with vector paths so I can use it in
AE Zaxwerks. Just saving it doesn't work. I have to give it
outlines or something. As you can tell I'm new to Illustrator,
although not with PS - Thats why I created my text (logo) in PS.
Any thoughts?

Photoshop uses raster graphics to create images. Illustrator creates vector graphics. Opening .psd's in illustrator will not convert them to vector images. Your best bet is to remake the text in Illustrator and then save it out that way.

Photoshop 6 can export vector data to EPS files, provided they are vectors in Photoshop (ie, the text hasn't been converted to a raster layer). I haven't tried opening them in Illustrator yet, but I would imagine they should stay intact. If not, you could investigate Adobe Streamline, which converts raster images to vectors, but the resulting files usually need a lot of work. Personally, I prefer to use the pen tool in Photoshop to manually draw around the shapes, and then export the paths to Illustrator (File > Export). Good luck!
