Is this a USB mouse that you want to convert into a PS/2? If so, and as Linney suggests, the mouse will need to be plugged into the PS/2 port before the laptop has loaded the OS (effectively plug it in before you power the laptop on)

"It's true, its damn true!"

Not all USB to PS2 converters are created equal, and not all mice are created equal either. I have had a few of these converters: one would work with mouse A on PC#1 but not on PC#2, and another would work with mouse A on either PC but not with mouse B.
The solution is to try another converter or another mouse (a different brand/model, not just a different unit).
Thanks folks, for yours answers and i try to connect a PS/2 mouse to the laptop with a usb connector. maybe the best solution to me its buy a usb mouse.
A lot of "mouses" you buy today are basically a PS/2 with a converter (and vice-versa). Just check whatever mouse you buy to see if it comes with a converter. They also make a "Y" cable to plug in the mouse and keyboard into the same port, if you only have one PS/2 port on your laptop. I'd just take the laptop down to your local computer store, and find what does work.
