Proxy Server Software

I have been looking for a cost effective Proxy server to work with the PIX. I have checked numerous programs, but I have not found one that has the capability of authenticating users to a group on the NT Domain and contain detailed logs of the users activities. I know that MS Proxy server has these capabilities, but with over 300 PC's in 62 offices, I would rather not install the client.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

HI!

With MS PROXY (as with other products) you don't always have to install the client.
You may use the HTTP PROXY only (if it is what you need) and only configure the browser.

Check out the newer version from MS, the ISA server, and ofcourse other products.

With the number of offices your talking, you may need to investigate in a 'chained' proxy topology to reduce inter-office LAN/WAN link utilisation to the core proxies.
