Proxy and VPN together?

Proxy and VPN

I have enabled PPTP on my MS proxy server, the client connects then after about 20-30 secs is disconnected.Although watshing the port on RAS Admin goes from authenticating user to waiting for a call
Should I define ports for PPTP on my Proxy?
What about IP Forwarding Proxy says no , VPN wants it, Can I have both on the same box?

Check out the article "Q169548 Using Proxy Server with Routing and Remote Access". IP Forwarding has to be enabled on the proxy server. To retain security the filters described in the article have to be installed.
