Provide users with method to kill sessions?

Would this be a wise move? and any suggestions on how to do it? Publish a management console to them? I dont want them seeing all other users connected to the system, just their own users in their own group, and even then only able to kill their own session probably, not others...

Any citrix automated plugins for this?

Just curious.. would this be for the purpose of killing a session that's froze up?

If that's the case.. which most of us Citrix users know this a somewhat common issue. From what I've seen, when peoples sessions freeze, they typically can't do a thing, including run an application that'll kill the users session. I know, I've tried this. ;-)

indeed. GOt any clever ways to kill the sessions? Like a batch fle or something?, something they can execute that will allow then to end all their related session? is the a command line tool?

there is a kill for terminal server sessions (same as ica) but the thing is, when their sessions lock, they can't even click the start menu let alone run a batch file. Sorry man, if there's a method out there to let the users do it them selves in a froze session, I haven't seen it..

it gives the helpdesk good job security that's for sure!

Two things they can try... first, is hitting Ctrl+F1 (equivalent of Ctrl+Alt+Del, but for their citrix ) which brings up task manager for their citrix session.

second, right click the citrix icon in the system tray and go to "connection center". See if they can either "terminate" their app or log off that server.


Sometimes neither of those will work... but its better than nothing...
