I recently replaced an AT&T T1 with an MCI PRI circuit (Opt. 11 25.40) and have had lots of framing errors. The circuit has also dropped a couple of times. MCI is telling me to check the protocol on my route to make sure it matches their switch type (which is a DMS500). I've been instructed by my vendor that the interface should be set to NI2 on the route (which it is) but I'm still getting slips. I dont' even see any option in the NTP that matches DMS500. Is there anything else I need to check? I appreciate your assistance.

are you clocking on the new ckt?

yes, I believe: (new circuit is loop 9)
SSCK 0
ENBL
CLOCK ACTIVE
SYSTEM CLOCK - LOCKED TO SLOT 9
PREF - 9
SREF - FREE RUN
AUTO SWREF CLK - ENBL
NO ERROR

sorry, the card is in slot 9 (if I'm interpreting my switch programming correctly).

i know you can put a pri in any 1st cab slot but i have had problems making them stay up in any slot left of a station or cot card.. nortel says that that is not the case but i've moved them and never had to go back... have your tried disl msdl or tmdi and doing a reload? (load 96) ??? might be all you need

no, i haven't tried that, but my vendor might have. I'll check with him. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I should check. Thank you John Poole.
