Protection for the hard drive

I have a lab of 38 Mac G4's. I am having a lot of trouble keeping these machines clean and working properly. I have heard of a product called deep freeze and I was wondering if someone had something like that for a Mac.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am on MacOS 8.6, is that what you are looking for? I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

I worked in a school lab where we used FoolProof. This program locks the system folder, keeps students from running software from removable media (games, viruses, etc) and sets a default 'save to' folder. It saved me many headaches.

I think the company has since improved their product line to also support internet filtering.
