Protecting programs from working on other computers 1

I m looking for a tool or a programing way to protect my programs from working on other computer except the one which the programs where putting on him , in other words I want to protect my programs from being copied to other computers/offices & using them, Mainly on windows XP.

You might consider reading the hard drive serial number. You will need to store this in an encryted form. The problem with this approach is when the hard drive crashes and is replace, the application needs to be updated with the new valid serial number.

are you still looking for a solution for your question.
If so, I can send you a small basic program that writes the Manufacture Serial number of the HD to a pre location on the harddisks, so that u can read and encript and combine them with the user number you issued and write those numbers to a location in the first run. Then check and compare it for protection at consequent runs. The basic program is completely invisible.
