I created a worksheet with five columns of data. The data in the third column is the result of subtraction of the data in the second column from the first. Data in the first, second, fourth, and fifth columns is entered by the user. I highlighted these columns before applying protection. Because the data in column three is the result of a calculation I did not highlight it before applying the protection (I want protection applied to column three). However, after applying the protection and deleting the data in columns one, two, four and five the formula in column three is wiped out and I can again enter data into the cells that make it up. Any suggestions as to how to protect the third intervening column without losing the formula applied to it when data in the other columns is deleted?
