I would like to know if anyone has exprienced any problems or drawbacks with Tablet Notebooks?

Thanks

Joe

The acer Tablet PC are pretty much the worst. Why? The interal wireless Orinoco card doesn't work very well or at all. I have had to put in an external pccard to get reliable communications with the network.

I cannot recommend anyone to purchase one at this point because they are over priced and not work the headache to get them to work properly.

Just my opinion!

Apart from the hand writing function, why whould u want a tablet? I will go for the ultra-portable notebooks over tablet for around the same price =)

Their Main selling point at the moment is looks/flash factor.

For the same reason Offices that clients see have Flat screen Monitors, Many people want their salespeople to have these. It can work on people afterall ;)

Your ability to add-to, expand, modify the hardware is extremely limited.

If they suit a particular application need, they can be wonderful. But as a general purpose computing device the upgrade-ability of the devices is too limiting.
