On November 3rd, Atos announced its intention to acquire Unify. This project is subject to regulatory approval. As a valued Unify customer, I am writing to make you aware of this exciting planned development, its rationale and the benefits it would bring.

Atos, an international leader in digital services, serves a global client base providing Consulting and Systems Integration services, Managed Services & BPO, Cloud operations, Big Data & Cyber-security solutions, as well as transactional services. With 2014 annual revenue of circa €11B and 93,000 employees in 72 countries, Atos is a world leader in IT Services.

We believe that the proposed combination of Atos and Unify will form a key building block in many organizations’ digital transformation. Atos and Unify have each long recognized the transformation that the communications industry is experiencing – transformation from hardware to software, impact of cloud and big data, and mobility demands implicit in the new way to work. While the digital transformation will create more and more data centric workflows and business models, the need for integrated communication services will also increase immensely. With this acquisition project, the companies will deliver even greater value to customers and partners through increased scale in key markets, expanded breadth of world-class services and access to Atos’ global client base and partner ecosystem.

Atos is a very dynamic company which has doubled its size & revenue in the last six years without debt, demonstrating an excellent track record in integration projects (e.g. integrating the IT Solutions & Services department of Siemens in 2011, acquiring European IT player, Bull, in 2014 & integrating the IT outsourcing activities of Xerox at the end of 2015).
Atos and Unify will work together in the coming months on this very promising combination and expect the transaction to be completed in early 2016.
We will continue to provide updates on our progress, and encourage you to speak at any time with your local Unify Sales and Service representatives.
Sincerely yours,
Dean Douglas
CEO
