Woohoo! LOL Harebrain, please read the fourth post in that thread, then read the third post in this thread, then quit trying to prevent my giving out lengths of rope for pedagogical reasons I prefer not to fully disclose, if you don't mind...
Well, it takes a pedagogue (or perhaps, a pedant, though of course I am not one) to use the word....
<Key press, key down,... what's the difference?
All right, before harebrain messes up the thread completely, depriving it of any pedagogical value whatsoever: kss444, you can't evaluate the control key in the keypress event, and you can in the keydown event. So, that answers his question as well.
<Sorry to shake you up
Perhaps you have mistaken me for Elvis? I ain't in love, and I ain't all shook up.
Yes, I understood that you were being facetious, and nevertheless I felt compelled to expiate the confusion you caused with my tightly controlled, concise, precise, on-topic and therefore perhaps less than expatiatory prose. Perhaps this expatiation of my reasons for doing so will serve as a definitive position on the subject.
As for the smiley for facetiousness, I'm inclined to use ~~~~~~~, generally preceded by a "so there".
