We are planning on upgrading our MICS 4.1 with an additional station module, and as previously suggested on this board, we are planning to shut down the system before plugging in the new module.

What is the proper procedure for shutting down the system?

Do I just pull the plug, or is there a 'clean & friendly' shut down procedure?

As always, thanks for your invaluable advice!!

If you are not adding an expansion card there is no need to power off the MICS cabinet. Just make the connections to your 0x16 and then power it on. The MICS will detect the 0x16 within a couple of minutes.
