We were in a pinch and I had to perform an update on some metadata (VALSTR) values directly on the LLATTRDATA table. The updates appear successful as shown through LiveReports which query the data directly, but the Livelink web application only sees the previous data. I need to figure out how to propagate the changes through the system, update the cache, or whatever is necessary to reflect these updates to the Livelink web application. Thanks - Mark

llattrdata is only for livereports and adhoc reporting.Livelink pulls that form the associated llattrdatablob table. The right approach should have been api's ,oscript or some object importers.I do not know a method to attack the llattrblobdata. There is a thread in KB where somebody actually accomplished this in the KB and OT DB gurus were always warning them not to do direct table updates. If you search that you may get some tips

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Thanks. I did figure out how to update llattrblobdata, but it was definitely a pinch shot. Our programmer got up and quit last week, and we have nobody who knows the SDK API. For now I think I'll grab another hat and learn OScript.
