Hi all,

I need to propagate a registry change to remote users (on dial up/adsl). These users do not get startup/logon scripts as they boot up first then connect.

I don't want to do a "click here" link to run a vbs script if I can avoid it.

Any suggestions of doing this with Group Policy and then forcing the change using a GPUDATE /force. I don't believe that startup scripts are run in these circumstances.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Martyn

Are your remote users even part of the domain?

If the machines are part of your domain you will want to configure the GPO to not detect slow connections. Then you can use the following free Active Directory Add-On to easily configure a GPO to push out the registry settings.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
