We are developing an application using OSCommerce as a foundation, but our client wants to provide promotional discounts based not on a specific product, but on a selected attribute option of that product.

Has anyone done anything similar and could provide some guidelines, pitfalls to avoid, or suggestions at least on a conceptual level which may prove useful.

Thanks in Advance. Good Luck

I appreciate the response, but I need to do something a little more involved. Assume that I have a product with an atribute, that normally causes an increase of $5.00 to the price. I want to put that attribute on sale, so that it shows the $5.00, with a strikethru, with the sale price ($3.00 for example) in red. This would be a similar display for normal product promotions, and of course, retaining the original price modifyer of $5.00
Good Luck
